The Building to Bless Capital Campaign has been a huge success! Thank you to everyone who has continued to give so faithfully to this campaign, even in the midst of a pandemic. We are over the 90% goal of our 3-year commitments and may come close to 95-100% of our goal by the end of May.
- The new exterior 1431 signage is paid for and should be installed in coming weeks. It will be back-lit for easy reading at night. The cross on the sanctuary will also be back-lit to draw attention to the cross. The monument sign will have a simple / easy to read welcome.
- The architect has the Fellowship Hall and main parking lot drawing at 50% completion, helping to narrow down the uncertainty of cost.
The Building Committee recommended council call a special congregational meeting, in May, to help decide how to make our next step in the project. Expect a mailed letter one month in advance. In the meantime, council also called together a “Master Campus Planning Team” to spend the next month to develop a proposed image of what our entire campus will look like when completed, enabling all ministries of the congregation to see how what they do is connected together by our facilities (youth, quilters, Blessings, small groups, choir, school, etc.). This will be presented as part of the special congregational meeting. Steve Reitz is the Building Committee Chair. Steve and Courtney Wing are co-chairs of the campus planning team. You can direct any question to either them or Pastor Vanicek. Have a blessed Easter!
